Latest Information as at 5th January 2009

11th January 2009

We play away against Chipstead this week - everyone who turns up on the day will get a game with the usual subs swapping.  Please arrive for a 10am start as usual.

We can't stress how important it is to bring with you lots of layers to wear whilst training - both warm clothing & waterproof / windproof.  Hats and rugby gloves would be especially useful and can be bought at the club shop.  In particular, during matches (when we often use a 'subs' bench), it is very important that the boys have jackets, track-suit trousers and preferably, a hat.  This is important both in terms of their comfort and good health and also to prevent confusion of the referees as from a distance it can sometimes be difficult to see who is / isn't actually playing!

Next league match - 18th January against Old Cats.

Duty Rota - 25th January - Bar

As you know, we are heavily dependent on volunteers to help run the club.  With this in mind, we are occasionally asked to help with the bar or car parking on a Sunday.  Our next rota day is Sunday 25th January.  Please let me know if you are able to help with the bar from 1130 - 1230.

For those still wishing to register, please bring two passport sized photos and 2 completed copies of the registration form to the clubhouse as soon as possible, together with your cheque for £60 (for a single child) or £85 (for a full family membership).

Important Safety Information

  • It is critical that you keep Coaching & Management aware of anything that the Boys are allergic to - particularly if reactive pens / syringes / medication are required
  • If your child is an Asthma sufferer - they must have their "puffer" with them - (not in changing room) .   This must be registered again with Coaches & Manager - no puffer = no training / matches!
  • You as Parents/Guardians  MUST tell us if your Son has been knocked unconscious (or had a serious head injury ) at School / Home - whether through sport, playground or whatever!. The rules are that they must rest and not participate in WRFC activities for 3 weeks.
